If you know me at all you know that I am a giver and take great pleasure in it. So for the last three days I have giving my time to preparing for a garage sale at our house. Now I have been doing sales for years and love the organizing, planning, preparing, etc. but today when we shut the door and I saw all the stuff I had to put back into place in the garage and house I began to wonder if this is the last one. I AM TIRED!!!!!! Could it be that I am feeling my age just a bit? What happened to all that zip I once enjoyed. The zip has slipped. My feet are screaming at me, husband is requesting supper and I would like an out-of-body experience.
The truth is I loved every minute of it - hanging out with my friends, meeting the shoppers and best of all raising $317 dollars that will be given to disadvantaged young people for summer camp. I whine and complain but would perish if I couldn't participate in fund-raising causes.
Life is good; sore feet and all.
