Summer activities begin in Tazewell county with the Tremont Turkey Festival. In spite of the hot, humid and breezless weather the crowds were out this morning for turkey sandwiches, strawberry shortcake, crafts and carnival fun. My camera got suffled around in my tote bag and lost the proper setting so I don't have many pictures to share:{ Our son just phoned me from the Methodist church basement where festival goers are taking shelter from a thunderstorm.
