Last week I gathered my two sisters to travel to Delavan . We picked up a dear friend Ina and joined another, Marilyn, for lunch at the town's newest restaurant. The old building has been renovated leaving the high tin ceiling; a pleasant atmosphere for chatting and eating. The food was less than wonderful and a bit pricey for what was on the plate but that did not deter us from having a great time of fellowship. Afterward Ina directed us to the newer parts of town and pointed out the few points of interest. My family lived in Delavan until I was ten so I do recall some places like the park, ball diamond, swimming pool and library. My friend Ina is also my christian mentor. She helped me thru those difficult teen years, coaxed me to teach Sunday School and "forced" me to sing my first solo. I am forever grateful for this amazing woman who continues to inspire me at her young age of 92. Thanks Ina for loving me and seeing something in me worth investing in.
