A few days ago John was looking out the front window and saw the utility line suddenly sag. Looking the other way we saw the cause. This old, large tree had dropped half of itself across the street. The top branches actually touched the side of our neighbor's house on this side of the street. Other than taking out a small tree that was in its way, do damage was done and no one hurt. Imagine a car passing at that exact time or a child on a bicycle. It was amazing how fast the police was on the scene and the men with chainsaws at work. You just never know.
