Today is the date of birth for my grandmother Charlotte. She was born in 1888.
Thinking of her today made me wonder what she would think of all the inventions and all the changes in society. Travel by airplane or space ship compared to a horsedrawn buggy for instance. I totally love the modern conviences but wish we had a little more of the lady and gentleman courtesy of grandma's day.
I am sure grandma Lottie was the one praying for me when I was child. If I could I would say thank you and express my regret for not paying more attention to my grandma while I had her near.
I love old pictures like this. Your grandmother was a beautiful child. I have a photo of my mom as a tiny baby being held in her parents (my grandparents) arms. That picture is 105 years old.
