I was born with a need to write things down, sort and organize so it is no wonder that I keep a calendar in my purse for entering appointments, special occasions, etc. There is also a calender beside my computer in the basement workroom for recording event notices received thru the net. The mainstay calendar is on the desk in the kitchen. With all this entering and recording going on you would think I would never forget or be late for any happening. Wrong, wrong, wrong, In this case more is not better. What happens often is that not all information makes it to the most frequent consulted calendar in the kitchen and as a result I can forget something that I really want to do. For instance - Monday my class of '56 girlfriends met for lunch and I missed it. Not because I hadn't been reminded via email but because that info never made it upstairs. Monday looked like a free day at home so I tore into cleaning, sorting and organizing more stuff for our second downsizing sale. I am happy for the work done but sorry I didn't get to spend time with my 70 something friends. We will meet again in two months and next time I will make sure all calendars carry the same information.
This is just trivia to you all but at least you know I am still here battling the common things of life. PS we had some more wonderful rain today. Yea !!!!
I am the same way with calendars. I try to have one in every room in the house. A shame you missed the lunch with your girl friends. I think that would have been a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWe got the rain here too, but not nearly enough I think.
