After two weeks in sunny, hot Naples, Florida returning to a chilly central Illinois was a shock. We walked into the house, shivered and headed straight for the thermostat. Just give me some heat. Today's beauty gave me hope that I can survive this climate yet another year. Now that the bags are unpacked, some laundry done, the mail sorted, groceries purchased, food cooked, 183 emails deleted I have time to enjoy being back in my own space.
We loved every minute of our time with our Florida family and enjoyed the luxury of doing only fun stuff for two weeks. It was a time for much needed rest for Hans who still doesn't have full strength since radiation treatment. I crafted, read and watched old movies to my heart's content. No guilt here. At my age I feel that I have earned some selfish time. Now back to the real world.
It is good to be home again - as the saying goes there is no place like it no matter how agreeable another place might be.
