senior rockhounds
Sister Nola and I have talked of looking for rocks in our farm field sometime and since it wasn't raining this morning, as was predicted, I rang her up and said ,"let's go for it". We had a blast walking over the freshly disced ground and snatching up rock treasures. Not all farm fields have rocks but this one is sloping toward the creek and the buried treasures are exposed for our collecting. What a picture we must have made for occasional passing motorists. Two old ladies dragging tote bags filled with rocks across concrete-hard chunks of loam could have raised a few eyebrows but hey, we were having a great time. My landscaping has enough rocks (more than enough for the man of the house whose dreaded chore as a child was to walk the farm fields to remove any rocks before the tractors came in to do their jobs) soooo the rocks went home with sister for her yard. I only kept one big one which I will sneak into the backyard when no one is looking. Now for a hot shower for my aching back. We did it!!!!!!!!!!! Note: The older I get the less it takes to intertain me.
