Last week we visited church with daughter Charlotte. The pastor asked the question," what do you expect from your relationship with God and the people in your world". A very good question and food for thought. What Do I expect from my relationship with God? It may be time to make a realistic list. It would seem wise to check my expectations for my church, family members, friends, neighbors, and the professionals that serve me. I may have to change my expectations or change some relationships. Also I have a responsibility to make others aware of what I expect. Because, will be disappointed if others don't even know what I expect.
I have a tendency to accept whatever comes my way even if it isn't what I expect but I wonder if that is what God intends for me.
What do I expect from those who read this blog? Absolutely nothing.
What does God expect from His relationship with me. I think I know.
What do the people around me expect from our relationships? I only know in part.
