The workshop

Since I mentioned the workshop yesterday and Hans has spent the day there today, it seemed appropriate to feature "The Shop" on my blog. This is where it happens at our house. Anything that needs a repair finds healing in this space. My husband has done countless projects for me over the last almost 52 years, not all in this shop but there has always been in shop in our lives. I can drag home any treasure from a rummage sale and my Hans can make it look good. He never complains about my presumption that he will mend, paint, rebuild or otherwise restore my find.

Todays project is a toy box keepsake for our grandson Isaiah. Boxes were constructed for each of our other 4 grands so this is number 5. I don't want to brag too much but this man is good at what he does. Notice the leaded glass in the photo - he did those too. Custom made for our Florida house in 1990. Thanks John you are the best; now come in for supper and rest:}
