Today I celebrated the passing of another year. Now tell me why, when there are so few years left ,one would choose to rejoice in the loss of one. Strange. Well anyway it was an excuse for me and 14 of my friends to invade Avanti's for lunch. Great food, fun, fellowship. I had phone conversations with all three of my daughters, son David came bearing a birthday cake that he had made for me and Hans was especially sweet with gifts and hugs. I am blessed and that includes being another year older.
PS: I arrived at the dmv promptly at 8 am to take my punishment for letting my driver's license expire only to find out that if I had simply turned the document over I would have found a sticker extending the use until 2013. Just another senior moment. sigh!
