Lately I read a work of fiction that rang true to me in many ways. Woven within the plot was a subtle attempt to remove all things Christian from society in order to eliminate the presence of conscience. The theory being that Bible values prevent people from doing as they please and thus create limitations to progress. Forbid public prayer, remove religious symbols from public property and the name of God from our money etc. Those conditions do exist today and more are on the way.
Well it is Christmas and I miss the nativity scenes and the carols. In my prayer time I expressed to my Lord Jesus the desire to advertise to my neighbors that I still believe in the Christ of Christmas but that I didn't know how to do it. I needed a sign or a banner, something that spoke truth.
This week Hans and I had some banking to do and we were ushered into a room that had a sign on the wall with a picture of the Madonna and child with Joseph.
It read," It's Christmas, celebrate Jesus." I really got excited, do what you want with my money but tell me where I can get one of those signs.
We now have two signs (we live on a corner lot) announcing what this celebrating is all about. Hallelujah!!!!!! We could defeat the enemies of Christ if we all made our wishes known.
