I have a sickness; it is called cabin fever. Seldom have I been afflicted with this ailment but after a long self-diagnosis process, I am convinced. How to treat it? My usual at-home activities bring no relief. Reading, sewing, cooking, cleaning, watching old movies - I just don't feel any better. Today I ventured out of the "cabin" and vowed to stay out for hours but going from store to store, in and out of the cold car left me eager to return to the comfort of my own home. For the last several years we have escaped to Florida and then traveled to southern California so winter had little effect on me but this year we suffer right along with the rest of you Illinois residents. Next week I am hosting my own birthday party for several of my church friends. This event is followed by a wedding shower that I am giving for a great niece.
My winter blues will soon fade as I get caught up in the creative process of planning and preparing.
footnote: Ohhhhhhh!!!! how can it be. I just discovered that my driving license expired 2 years ago. Some of you thought I had it all together - sure fooled you, huh.
