Turkey time again
There is fun to be had at the annual Tremont Turkey Festival-turkey sandwiches and strawberry shortcake, crafts galore and old friends. The sky was overcast and temperature perfect. Crowds were light because of the threat of rain. Couldn't have been better. The cloud of smoke coming from the turkey cookers made a nice backdrop for one of the photos. Jewelry vendors Deb and Karen gave us a mini lesson on jem stones while we tried on their wares and even purchased some. I especially love the eyeglass holder, so much more comfortable than the old style. Had such a good time that I may go back for more festival food and fun.

Tremont is just 10 miles from here. I always wanted to go to that as Jim and I would take note of it as we were coming from home to visit our daughter and son in law. I had just moved here last year when it was on and I didn't get to go. This year I have been sick with an upper respiratory infection and still coughing a lot. Maybe next year.
ReplyDeleteThe jewelery is very pretty.
